You don't need us to explain in depth how badly Jack Wilshere's career has suffered from long-term injuries.

We know how it's damaged Arsenal's title chances, allowed Tottenham's Dele Alli to usurp him in the England team and held his development back massively. It's no wonder he's an easy target for Twitter trolls.

What is remarkable, however, is just how long he's lacked full fitness for: believably unbelievable (if you get what we mean), Wilshere's last 90 minutes in an Arsenal shirt came in their 2-1 home defeat to Southampton in the Capital One Cup... way back on 23 September 2014!

That's some 21 months and counting - a very, VERY long time in football.
