UK10K aims to share sequence data rapidly with the wider scientific community using the following modalities:
- primary sequence data passing QC will be submitted to the European Genome-phenome Archive (EGA) within 60 days of generation;
- final variant calls passing QC will be submitted to the European Genome-phenome Archive (EGA) quarterly;
- all sequence/genetic variation data will be made available under a managed access mechanism.

Managed Access

Access to sequence and phenotype data will be managed with oversight from appropriately constituted or nominated Data Access Committees (DACs). Data users will be required to agree to the terms and conditions of a Data Access Agreement (DAA) which aims to protect the privacy and interests of the research participants.
The DAA requires users to agree:
- to use the data only for research purposes;
- to protect the confidentiality of the data;
- to provide appropriate data security;
- not to attempt to identify individual participants from whom data were obtained;
- not to redistribute the data, or any subset or derivative, that could be used to identify the research participant;
- to abide by a publication moratorium protecting the first publication rights of the UK10K Consortium for the primary project aims. The publication moratorium will expire on 02 July 2013 for the Cohorts datasets (TwinsUK and ALSPAC), and 02 January 2014 for all exome datasets
